When I was 15 years old , I could never forget the impression
of my potential girlfriend , on our first date.....I used to swim for hours and play in the water with her and her family friends...
Her beautiful body almost naked , her face covered with sun burn and salt from the ocean...
Our first date I remember, it took me some time to realize, that the woman in front of me,
was the same girl I used to play with , on the beach....She had her hairs straightened, lipstick and make up was covering her childish face,in a way that for a moment , I must have been so astonished, that I have felt her being embarrassed....How could I explained her , what I was simply wanted to do was, to have her of my own ,the same way , we used to share each other with the beach boys and girls of that hot summer back on the '70's in a lovely beach town , not far from Athens , close to Marathon ...It took me many years and many women to be able to understand that the image I had of her was not exactly the same, with the one she had for herself ....It was then , when I first took in my hands the book with the Wall paintings of Thera,

as it used to say Plato, speaking for Socrates in his writings.....If I had the opportunity to hold this book in my hands , before I had met that girl ,maybe today I wasn't here, trying to offer you the possibility to discover santoriniand it's treasurers....I know that , since I don't have children of my own , I love them all and I need to be sure that anyone of you , will be able to understand each other, better than we did in the past...
Love is a drug but it is essential for your lives....
